FH6 Japan's collectibles are spread across three categories — XP Horns, Artisan Badges, and Bonus Boards — each providing unique progression rewards. Collecting them all requires exploring every corner of the map and mastering different gameplay disciplines. This guide details every collectible type, maps their locations across all regions, and explains efficient collection strategies.

Beyond the satisfaction of completionism, collectibles directly impact your Festival reputation and unlock exclusive rewards. Artisan Badges particularly are gatekept by skill — you can't just drive to them; you need to perform specific driving feats to unlock them.

1. XP Horns

XP Horns are audible collectibles scattered across the map. Drive through them to collect and earn Experience Points that contribute to your Festival Level. They're the most straightforward collectible type — if you explore the map thoroughly, you'll find most naturally.

Locations by Region

Tokyo Region — 28 XP Horns

Concentrated in Shibuya and Odaiba. Most are along main roads — driving the city circuits will net you 20+ without dedicated searching. The remaining 8 are tucked in underground parking structures.

Mount Akagi Region — 35 XP Horns

The most challenging region. Horns are placed on cliff edges, narrow mountain ledges, and near hairpin apexes. Some require you to deliberately take suboptimal racing lines to reach. 35 is the highest count in any single region.

Hokkaido Region — 22 XP Horns

Snow reduces grip on mountain edges. Approach these slowly — the penalty for missing a horn here is falling off a snow-covered cliff. Winter tires strongly recommended.

XP Horns contribute directly to your Festival Level. At higher Festival Levels, new car brands, competitive events, and story content unlock. Aim to collect at least 50% per region before moving on to avoid late-game grinding.

2. Artisan Badges

Artisan Badges are earned by demonstrating skill in specific disciplines. Unlike XP Horns, you can't simply drive over these — you need to perform. Badges are displayed on your driver profile and signal your mastery level to other players in Online Adventures.

Drift Artisan

Earned by accumulating 500 total drift points across any number of drift events. The key is sustained drift angle — short taps don't count. Maintain 30°+ angle for at least 3 seconds per drift streak. Best location: Hakone Drift Park (free roam).

Speed Artisan

Earned by reaching 300 km/h in any car on the FH6 Japan map. High-speed coastal highways near Yokohama and the Hakone tunnel approach are your best bets. A fully upgraded McLaren P1 or Porsche 918 reaches this easily.

Touge Artisan

Earned by completing 10 Mount Akagi touge runs without a single reset or major fault (off-track penalty). This tests consistency over raw speed. Master one hairpin at a time — don't try to rush. Route 33, the main touge pass, has 6 major hairpins. Clear each one repeatedly.

Photo Artisan

Earned by using Photo Mode 50 times and sharing at least 10 photos. Social badge — easiest to unlock passively. Just remember to hit Share after Photo Mode sessions.

3. Bonus Boards

Bonus Boards are target-rich environments where you must destroy a set number of targets within a time limit. They're marked on the map as orange circles and function as free-roam arcade challenges. Completing them awards bonus CR and Festival influence.

Bonus Boards are best completed in a dedicated session after you've unlocked fast cars. Set up your fastest AWD drift build, drive to the densest cluster of boards, and chain them consecutively. The most efficient approach is to complete boards in geographic clusters to minimize travel time between objectives.

Fast Collection Tips

Priority Order

Complete XP Horns first — they're passive, location-based, and you can't miss them if you visit each region. Then chase Artisan Badges that align with your preferred driving style. Save Bonus Boards for last when you have a fast car and understand the map layout.

  1. Start with Tokyo XP Horns — they're along roads you drive anyway. 28 horns collected passively.
  2. Move to Mount Akagi for the highest horn density. Focus on Route 33 hairpins.
  3. Unlock Drift Artisan early — the Hakone Drift Park is always available in free roam.
  4. Chain Bonus Boards geographically: Yokohama → Odaiba → Port → Warehouse district.
  5. Complete Touge Artisan last — it requires the most skill and benefits from all your prior practice.
